The Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant 2019 Applications for African Entrepreneurs has opened and is accepting wonderful ideas from entrepreneurs across all 54 African countries.
The Program which is in its fifth year awards successful applicants $5,000 in business grant.
So far, over 4,460 entrepreneurs have been funded. These are drawn from all 54 countries of Africa.
This year, over 1,000 entrepreneurs will be funded with $5000 each to start or expand their business.
So, if you believe you have an idea that can transform Africa and you want to translate it into business or you have an existing business that’s transforming Africa,
then, follow these simple steps to apply for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant 2019.
How to Apply for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant 2019
Applying for the grant is very simple. Just make sure that you have your business idea. One that is innovative and is of high impact and most importantly capable of transforming Africa.
To apply for the grant, do the following:
Register or create an account on TEF Connect

Better still just log on to the TEF Connect platform at www.tefconnect.com
If you’ve already applied for the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant before, then you’re already on the TEF Connect platform. All you’ll need to do is to login with your former details. You can always use the forgot password feature to recover your account
If you’ve never registered on the Tony Elumelu portal before, then you’ll need to register or create and account at the TEF Connect Platform.
How to Locate and Fill Out the TEF Grant Form
Thereafter, login to your TEF Connect dashboard. You’ll see a banner just above where your profile completion percentage is displayed.

Click on the African map on the banner and you’ll be taken to the main application page. You should see something like this.
Fill out the form as accurately as possible. What I would advise is that you copy out the questions onto a Microsoft word document.
Then fill out the answers there and simply transfer them (copy and paste) to the TEF Connect platform once you’re done.
