Winners Emerge at the Pitch Nigeria Challenge 2019 Grand Finale

The Sterling Bank Nigeria sponsored the Pitch Nigeria Challenge 2019 powered by SMEToolkit ended in a grand style with a closing ceremony on Tuesday, the 12th of February, 2019.

The closing ceremony which was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites had in attendance finalists of the Pitch Nigeria Challenge 2019.

Among guests at the event included the Managing Director of Sterling Bank Nigeria, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman as well as other senior Executives of the Bank.

The executive management team of the Enterprise Development Centre was also very well represented.

Presenting the star prize to the over all winner of the maiden edition of the Pitch Nigeria Challenge, the Sterling Bank CEO Mr. Abubakar Suleiman states that the Bank was excited with the outcome of the competition.

Mr. Suleiman also expressed the Bank’s determination to follow up on all the 50 entrepreneurs to ensure that they received every kind of support they needed to become successful in their businesses.

While congratulating all top three winners of the Pitch Nigeria Challenge 2019 powered by SMEToolkit, the CEO mentioned that all the 50 entrepreneurs that made it to the boot camp will be awarded N1 million each to scale their businesses.

He assured all the winners that the Bank was open to provide further funding for businesses that demonstrated need for extra funding.

The EDC boss in a very special way commended all the top 50 entrepreneurs in the Pitch Nigeria Challenge especially those that made it to the top three.

He expressed the hope that these entrepreneurs will build multimillion dollar businesses in the near future.

In a vote of thanks at the end of the event, Mr. Olufemi, on behalf of the participants at the Pitch Nigeria Challenge, commended the management and staff of Sterling Bank Nigeria as well as those of The Enterprise Development Centre for organizing the program which he described as very impactful.

He reiterated the determination of the entrepreneurs to take home to their businesses all the learnings gotten through the program. He also promised that all the winners of the business funding will do their best to repay the loans without any default.
