This is to inform all Nigerian entrepreneurs that the 2017 Youwin Connect Programme Application deadline has been extended to September 3, 2017. However, this is for those who had registered and could not complete their application because of the congestion experienced on the website on the previous submission deadline.
Youwin Connect Programme is the Continuation or better put, the modified version of the Youwin Programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria. However, this program lays more emphasis on entrepreneurship education as a prerequisite for building a successful and sustainable business.
More so, the initiative believes that providing grants to entrepreneurs who understand financial management and resource allocation will ensure that the programme is not only sustainable but yields the expected result.
For those who are interested in completing their application for the 2017 Youwin Connect programme, it is important that they visit the application portal immediately and sign in to complete their application. The application portal is apply.youwinconnect.org.ng and remains the only platform through which one can apply for the Youwin Connect Programme.
The materials you need to apply and be part of the Youwin Connect programme is a business idea and a few documents including a valid Identity card, an evidence of educational qualification and a scanned copy of your certificate of business registration with the corporate affairs commission if your business is registered.
The major information you will need to fill in while applying will be a description of your business/company (if your company is registered and has a certificate of business or company registration). You will also need to describe the materials you will need to create your products or services. This does not require you to just list but to also mention how relevant the materials are to the production process.
You will need to also identify a few challenges and risks that might keep your business from being a success. Here, factors such as paucity of funding, infrastructural challenges, insecurity, shortage of raw materials supply, licensing/registration delays, emergence of stronger competition etc. are what you are expected to among other things identify.
You will be required to identify a few of the skills you have acquired as well as those you need to acquire in order to succeed in your business. Please mention this as accurately as possible. Trying provide inaccurate information might jeopardize your chances of being shortlisted for the next round of the Youwin Connect programme.
Please note that if your business category is not captured in the drop down list of business sectors, please look out for the nearest category to that of your business. Ensure also that you fill in all the information required. However, if you do not have a registered business, please select NO in the second application page that requests you to mention whether you have a business or not.
Please note once again that the deadline for submission of application has been extended to September 3rd, 2017.
